Mouthwatering, really good balance of flavour, no stickiness, no graininess and a strong cocoa finish. Beautiful – I could eat a lot of that.

Near-on perfect. Really good fresh ginger, delicious chocolate. I could eat a whole bar of that right now.

LONDON’S SPECIALITY CHOCOLATE FAIR: 6TH – 8TH SEPTEMBER. Here’s a thought, you can do some research and indulge your sweet side at the Speciality Chocolate Fair at London’s Olympia as, this year, it is combined with the Speciality & Fine Food Fair. The current economic climate seems to be having little effect on parts of the food and drink industry and nowhere is this clearer than in the artisan chocolate sector. With demand continually increasing, the array of fine chocolates being produced is at an all time high. Retail and foodservice buyers can see evidence of this for themselves at this year’s Speciality Chocolate Fair, the UK’s only trade event dedicated to artisan chocolate. As part of the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, the Speciality Chocolate Fair will showcase the very best in fine chocolate from the world’s leading suppliers, transformers and chocolatiers.

Despite being youthful, modern women of the twenty-first century, there is nothing that Bella and Crumb enjoy more than feeding home-made cake to friends and family and catching up over a nice cup of tea. Over time they noticed a funny thing - that the more cakes they baked and pots of tea they brewed, the more people popped over to say hello.

So they decided to put their love of cake to good use by throwing a proper Afternoon Tea  and inviting lots of new people to come along and join the fun. It needed to be held somewhere beautiful in central London, so they asked themselves, where’s the most exciting place we could hold an afternoon tea? Why, they answered themselves, in a pretty chocolate shop! Oh yes. And, as if afternoon tea with bubbly in a chocolate shop wasn’t enough, they are ensuring that you can feel virtuous as you’re enjoying their treats, because every single penny of profit from your  £15 donation will go to charity.

Afternoon tea will be held on Sunday 16th August and Sunday 20th September, and booking is essential. Would you like to see the menu?

Dear friends,
Why not indulged in chocolate while helping a good cause?

I have teamed up with Rococo Chocolates to offer you the rare opportunity of attending a luxury chocolate tasting session by Chantal Coady. On the night, Chantal, founder and owner of Rococo Chocolates, will do a presentation on chocolate and you will be given the chance to taste up to ten different chocolate bars. You will also receive two 70g Rococo Organic Artisan Bars, and a signed copy of Chocolate: The Food of the Gods by Chantal. You will be able to purchase all sorts of chocolate and 10% of all profit made on the night will go towards my project. Finally, it wouldn’t be called luxury if we didn’t finish the event with a nice glass of champagne!

And that is not all! Relaxing is more crucial than ever in these unpredictable times. And don’t we all feel a little bit less guilty knowing that we are doing it while helping a great cause? On the night, I will have with me some of the fantastic Soap Co. products ready for you to purchase. These cannot be bought anywhere in London. They are all hand made without any animal fat and of course not tested on animal. How good is that! And again, all the profits go towards my volunteering project!
