A Virtual Valentine's Day
A Virtual Valentine’s Day
Whether are able to be with your Valentine or not this Valentine’s Day, it’s not going to be the usual day of grand gestures and extravagance like before. Romantic restaurant dinner dates are being replaced with homecooked meals and romantic films at the cinema substituted for Netflix on the sofa. It’s a day of love in lockdown this year, so we’ve put together our favourite ideas to make Valentine’s Day at home as special as possible.
Battersea Dogs Virtual Life Drawing
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home have teamed up with Wild Life Drawing to run a special life drawing over Zoom featuring Battersea’s lovely rescue dogs as models. Discover the valuable work the charity has been doing for cats and dogs across the UK during the pandemic and an artist will take you through the basics of drawing animals and will be on hand to provide feedback on your work as you progress.
Tickets are £10 with £5 from each ticket going to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
Sunday 14th February at 2pm.

Virtual London Gallery/Museum Tours
If you wish you were spending Valentine’s Day wandering around the National Gallery gazing romantically at Monet’s or learning about different cultures at The British Museum, many galleries and museums in London offer online virtual tours of their collections for free. It’s not quite the same as seeing the real thing in person but you can get your art and culture fix from the comfort of the sofa.
Virtual tours are free, British Museum, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern, Courtauld Gallery.

Netflix Movie Marathon
To be honest we’ve all been doing this for months, surely all of us must have completed Netflix by now? But if watching films is your ideal date then we’ve put together a list of perfect pairings, matching our Rococo Nibbles to their movie counterpart, that might make re-watching easier, because anything can be improved with chocolate.
Netflix subscriptions from £5.99 per month.

From serious All My Sons at the Apollo Theatre to hilarious Funny Girl at Palace Theatre Manchester or beautiful Swan Lake at The Royal Opera House, there are plenty of fantastic productions to choose from.
