Meet the Women of Rococo
We love having a predominantly female senior management team here at Rococo. We thought this was a great chance for them to introduce themselves and for you to find out a little more about them!
Simone
Simone is our Business Development Manager.
What is your favourite Rococo product?
The classic Fresh Collection, Caramelised Macadamia and Hazelnuts or the Rose and Violet Creams. I can't possibly choose, sorry!
Who is a woman who inspires you and why?
My badass, feminist society running sister Penny, who is paving the way for an equal future for everyone.
Who is your favourite female TV or film character?
Villanelle from Killing Eve.
If you had a superpower what would it be?
Time travel, I would want to see the future space colonies as much as I'd want to see ancient Rome or the roaring 20s.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
Cleopatra or Stephen Hawking so I could bother her with my various questions on ancient Egypt and him with my various questions about Space.

What is your favourite Rococo product?
Always Rococo Fresh! I’m really excited for our new summer collection – Strawberries and Cream is a huge summer favourite of mine. For munching it’s Dusted Scorched Almonds and I’m also very proud of our Period Egg with is raising money for the charity Bloody Good Period.
Who is a woman who inspires you and why?
My Granny who continued to work after getting married despite the fact this wasn’t allowed in Ireland at the time (https://www.ictu.ie/blog/2019/10/14/the-marriage-bar-a-ban-on-employing-married-women/) which paved the way for women behind her. Unfortunately, her employer wouldn’t let her keep working once she had children.
Who is your favourite female TV or film character?
Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
If you had a superpower what would it be?
I’d like to be able to pause, rewind and fast-forward time.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
I get a bit freaked out by famous people, so I think I’d rather just have a last conversion with my granny.

Dusted Scorched Almonds.
Who is a woman who inspires you and why?
My Grandmother. She raised 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was promised and married at 16, however after marrying she never let anyone tell her what to do. Her courageous mind empowered her to be brave when times were difficult, her compassionate nature allowed her to be a listener for people around her. She gave me the strength to be whoever I wanted to be without any judgement or criticism.
Who is your favourite female TV or film character?
Miranda Hobbs from Sex and the City. Miranda always has her friends back, career driven, openly talks about sex and work/life balance with a child. Boss Woman!!!
If you had a superpower what would it be?
Teleportation – freedom of movement.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
My Grandad (I never met him) – I would want to spend the day listening to his stories of travelling and tales of him in the Indian army.
